Judith has undergone a vibrant path before joining Partners Hair Design Training Academy in 2014.
She is a Master Stylist who has successfully attained her Afro, Ladies Caucasian, and Gents Trade Tests. She is not only a qualified stylist but also a qualified beauty therapist.
She joined Carlton Hair International where she learned the discipline of Vidal Sassoon® techniques of hair design. Judith then joined Steiner and became a stylist/barber and Spa Manager on board the Steiner Cruise Liners.
Judith has always had a passion for teaching. She started her Lecturing career at Athlone Technical College where she held the position as a hairdressing lecturer. She then became a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Beauty Therapy at the College of Cape Town.
She then held a Lecturer position at BN Academy while simultaneously working as an International Trainer for Steiner.
Judith is not only a qualified Lecturer but also a certified Assessor and Moderator in both the hairdressing and beauty industry.
She is a Senior Lecturer for the Part-time Hairdressing courses, including Salon Education and Training and Barbering Training.
First worked for a company called Scissors, where an apprenticeship and Caucasian Trade test was completed in 1982. During this time she participated in many competitions.
She was offered a lecturing post in 1984 at The Proteaville College in Buitenkant Street Cape Town. When her family was relocated in 1988 to Bredasdorp were she managed a local hairdressing salon for a year.
On the familys return to Cape Town in 1994, she was offered a lecturing position at the then Cape College in Cape Town. Whilst at the Cape College she pursued a professional diploma, a National Higher Diploma in Education from which she graduated in 2000 and was the top student in that year in her specific field. She was subsequently promoted to Senior Lecturer in the Cape College, now College of Cape Town. She also successfully completed an Afro Trade Test in 1998. Marion is also a registered assessor and moderator with the Services Seta.
In 2004, she was selected to be part of an exchange programme to Potsdam, Germany, in order to explore different education systems in Hairdressing.
She continued working as a lecturer and manager at the College of Cape Town and enjoyed 16 years service with them.
In 2012, she very enthusiastically accepted the offer to lecture at Partners Hair Design Training Academy. This has been a very positive and exciting change for her, and she enjoys the direct contact with the industry, an opportunity that Partners Hair Design provides, as well as the high standard of work, and professionalism that the company has to offer.
The academy started with 9 students in 2012, and currently hosts 46 students.
